Change forms

Press Select while playing a normal game to change into different Marios or Luigis (Mushroom, Fire Flower, Super Leaf, Frog, Tannokie, and Hammer Brother).

Getting the boot

Hold Y and press Select.

28 P-Wings

Complete the game, then press Start at the ending screen. The next game will begin with 28 P-Wings per brother.

Random world

Wait until Mario and Luigi begin running around during the opening sequence. Press random buttons on the controller. The game will begin at a random world after the number of players are selected.

Whistle Room

Go to world 1-3. Towards the end of the level, there should be a white rectangle floating in midair. Jump on it, then squat down. In a few seconds, you should fall through. Go to the end of the level. In a few seconds, you should see either Mario or Luigi { whichever Mario Brother you are } on a platform on the left side, and a Mushroom Person on the right. In the middle of the screen, there should be a box. Run to the box, and press B. A whistle should pop out. To use the whistle, you should be on the level select screen. Press B, and there at the bottom of the screen in a pink strip should be a whistle. Scroll over to it and press A. It will take you to a Warp Zone. Choose a world and press A. You can use your whistle in that game only.

Double Warp

Receive two whistles and use one to get to the warp room. In the warp room use the second whistle which will take you to the last part of the warp room. This will get you to level 8 to defeat king Koopa.

Desert World Whistle

Towards the end of the Desert World you can obtain another whistle. In the top right corner in the far right hand corner of the world there is a rock directly next to the path. Use the hammer you obtained from one of the Koopa Battles to break it. Once you’ve found it though you must defeat two fireball spitting Koopas to get it make sure you at least have a mushroom before going into this battle just to be safe.

Warp Whistle II

In world 2, after you beat Level 4, there is a stone right beside 4.Use the hammer and then there is a path that opens up.Fight the fire brothers and after you do that in the box is the Second Whistle.

If you use any of the next five codes to defeat Bowser, stand in front of the door and hold “Up”. as soon as the door opens, you will pass through into the chamber where the Princess is held. If you don’t do this, you may get caught in Bowser’s time trap and the game will pause forever!

Hammer Suit

The hammer suit will make you invunderable to fire and you can kill ghosts with your hammers.

1-up!

If you stay in the water in the moat and kill seven ninjas with your sword, a blue creature will fly across the screen. Catch him for a 1-up. This worked in all moat scenes!

Ten lives

Hold Select + Start + A + B on controller one and A + B on controller two. Power on the NES while those buttons are held. Release the buttons when the title screen appears. Then, hold A + B on controller one and B on controller two. While keeping those buttons held, press Start on controller one.

Play as Cami

First you must beat the game 3 times then you beat it 1 time with out dying 1 single time (without invincibility for the whole cheat) then you have to beat it another 3 times and then you should have Cami (NOTE Cami can kill people in 1 shot).

Cheat

At the title screen, quickly press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, B, A. You will then start with 30 lives. The really cool part is that after a continue, these lives come back again!

30 Lives

On the screen where you choose how many players you want press: up,up,down,down,left,right, left,right,b,a,b,a,start. That should give you 30 lives instead of three!

Bonus items

Locate the large white and red mushroom in the first level. Crouch on top of the mushroom to collect the Fire Sword, Dragon Helmet, and Lion’s Shield.

Cheaper Items

The further you progress in the game, the more items and services cost. To save money, teleport back to the first town (Leaf) to sleep and purchase basic equipment (herbs, boots, etc.)

Flight

When you first get your dolphin (where you meet the third wise man), you can use your dolphin to fly at the first island you get to when you first get the man’s boat. There’s a little part of the island that sticks out on the left side. Take your dolphin, run into that part of the island, and jump right when you hit the part and you should fly. It might take more than one try. You will steadily lose your magic, but when you reach the next town, you can stay at the inn. After you start to fly, you can go up the waterfall and go behind the whirlpool to get your Barrier magic. You can’t charge your sword while you are flying.

Get Blizzard Bracelet Early

To get the Blizzard Bracelet early, build an ice bridge on the river east of Brynmaer. After the bridge is completed, head south to the Amazon village. Once there use your paralysis power on the woman guarding Aryllis? Chamber. Step over the paralyzed woman and go inside, walking carefully past Aryllis and his guard – without touching them. (Incidental contact will cause them to speak to you, and get you thrown out of the chamber.) After creeping by, walk up the staircase behind Aryllis? throne and grab the Blizzard Bracelet that is stored in the treasure chest.

Note: You must already wield the Sword of Water and possess the Ball of Ice.

Pass Blockades

If someone is blocking your way (eg. the guard in Amazones) there is a way to get past him. Simply go to the side of him and walk into them twice (keep pressing A to clear the message boxes.) Next, hold the d-pad in the direction opposite of where you want to go. You eventually wind up getting past him.

Pause the Game

To pause the game press B on the second controller.

Warp

To warp from one place to another while playing, do this. Press A + B on Controller One while holding A on Controller Two. A screen will appear where you can warp to several different places.

Labyrinth

When in the labyrinth, the screen perspective will change depending on Graham’s position. Up is not always north. Use the compass on the bottom of the screen to find north. Use the following compass directions to pass through the maze: Starting at the entry (grate) screen, move S, S, W, S, W, W, W, N, N, N, E, N, W, N, E, N, E, E, E, S, W, S, W, N. Play the tambourine to attract the monster. Give the monster the tambourine and collect the hairpin. Then move S, E, N, E, N, E, S, E, N, E, E, S, S, S, S, S, W, S, E.

Reverse Mode

Before you start your game, hold A and B on controller 2 and then press START on controller 1.

Sound Test

At the Game Over screen, press A, B, and Select all at the same time.

Extra Levels

Set the music to off, the speed to high, and the round to 10. Hold Up and press Select. The round should read “11.” Continue to advance to higher levels by pressing the Select button.

Final race

Enter your name, then enter QNW4GQVLQWH.TH as a password to start on Round 16, the final race.
